Why come to Top Valley Academy

Top Valley Academy Vision

To be an Outstanding school and a destination school of choice in the locality.

To provide a cohesive learning community with an 'outstanding, inclusive learning culture, where all students exceed expectation from their starting point on entry'.

At the Top Valley Academy we have very high expectations and want to build on the great work that students and staff have achieved in recent years.

  • We have been named as one of the schools who will receive a share of the government's new £2bn Priority School Building Programme; another reason for students and staff to be proud of their new Academy.
  • A renewed emphasis on both the academic and vocational curriculum pathways, allowing all students to achieve at the highest possible level and to progress to qualifications early if they have both the motivation and ability.

Underpinning all that we do here is our relentless focus on providing students with high quality inclusive teaching, which students have opportunities to experience in classrooms and beyond, and from an early age. We appreciate that making the transition from primary to secondary school is not only a major step for your child, but for you as a parent as well. While being a very exciting time, it can also often be a daunting prospect for both children and parents alike.

At Top Valley Academy we promote pride, opportunity, respect and belief in all that we do. Through applying these values fairly and consistently we unite to shape and mould our students into confident, mature and independent young people.

We hope that you find our website informative. Please call the Academy if you would like to arrange a visit or  to discuss something in person.
